The Code of Conduct of The Armenian Language School

  1. An Armenian Language School student must respect the rights and property of others. Our community does not tolerate bullying, hazing, harassment of another person, theft, or abuse of personal or community property.
  2. An Armenian Language School student must be honest. Lying, cheating, plagiarizing, or any other type of deceitful behavior is unacceptable at the Armenian Language School.
  3. An Armenian Language School student must protect the health and safety of the School community. Tampering with fire safety equipment, smoking, or using fire in any School building in an area not specifically designated for that purpose is unacceptable, and unauthorized weapons or dangerous combustibles or explosives are prohibited on campus.
  4. An Armenian Language School student must abide by the School’s rules regarding permissions and signing out. Leaving the House after check in without proper authorization and leaving campus without required permission is a violation of the Code of Conduct, as is unauthorized presence in a School building.
  5. An Armenian Language School student must meet community expectations and the high standard of citizenship expected of an Armenian. Violations of general expectations for proper conduct, including repeated failure to attend classes and other required commitments stated above, comprise a Code of Conduct violation – which can result in disciplinary actions such as verbal warning, community service, detention, and termination.
  6. Any disruption of the Armenian Language School regular class time will be considered as a violation of the Code of Conduct.
  7. An Armenian Language School student must abide by federal, state, and local laws.
  8. The Armenian Language School, in its sole discretion, may take disciplinary actions, as it believes is in the best interest of the School, for the accidental or intentional violations of the Code of Conduct. Such violations and their outcomes will be reported to the parents or legal guardians of children involved at a meeting with Armenian School principal.
  9. By signing this Code of Conduct, the parents and/or legal guardians of the student agree to waive and to release any claims, causes of action, lawsuits, demands, and legal actions (collectively, “Claims”) of any type that could be brought against The Holy Resurrection Armenian Apostolic Church of Seattle, The Armenian Language School, The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, their directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and/or volunteers (collectively, “Indemnitees”) for injuries, damages, or losses to either the parents/guardians or their student that arise out of, relate to, or are caused by the actions or inactions of the Indemnitees, regardless of whether the injuries, damages, or losses were caused in whole or in part by actions or inactions the Indemnitees.

Enrollment at the Armenian Language School constitutes a student’s acceptance of these regulations as the guiding principles for proper conduct. 

Video Surveillance Release Form

To guarantee security at the Armenian Language School, public areas of the school are monitored 24/7 by a video surveillance system with all the recordings stored for 30 days. The monitored public areas include

  • Hallways
  • Classrooms
  • Kitchen
  • Gym
  • All the outdoor areas

Under no circumstances will any video surveillance be installed in private areas of the school, like bathrooms, showers, locker rooms etc.

By signing this document, I give my parental/guardian consent to the Armenian Language School to record my children while they are on the premises of the Armenian Language School, store the recordings for 30 days and use such recordings for security and disciplinary purposes only.
